Registration for 2016 Annual Meeting

Date and Location

The 2016 Living Stones Annual Meeting will be February 20-23, 2016. The meeting begins at 1:30 pm on Saturday, February 20 and ends at 12 noon on Tuesday, February 23. The meeting will be held at the Empire Landmark Hotel, 1400 Robson Street, Vancouver, BC V6G 1B9.

Meeting Reservation Information

All are welcome at the Living Stones annual meeting!  Each person adds to the enrichment of our meeting experience.  The registration form allows places for you to give us information that could help orient first time visitors as well as give us the information we need to put you in break-out discussion groups that best fit your ministry (or case study if you are bringing one to present).   If you plan to bring a case study, there is a place to click below to see the suggested format and the deadlines for submission.

(Note:  Living Stones Coordinators of Institutional Partners are responsible for entering complete information about each of their members—so if you’re part of an Institutional Partner team, you will be registered by your Coordinator.  You can skim over the rest of this section and go down to the hotel reservation information.)

Registration Fees

$200 per person

Deadline for Meeting Registration is:  JANUARY 8, 2016.  Late Registration will cost an additional $100 per person.

Registration fees include attendance at the meeting and 4 meals:  Sunday breakfast, Sunday lunch, Monday breakfast, and Sunday lunch (all served buffet style).  All other meals will be on your own.  Please let us know of any allergy or other food issue on the registration form.

Scholarships are available!  We are blessed to be able to offer a limited number of scholarships to cover registration fees and hotels costs, subject to the amount of financial resources we have to share.  Individuals should send a request with the amount requested directly to Manuel Padilla, Treasurer, Living Stones Partnership, 711 Michigan Avenue, Crystal Falls, MI 49920 by December 15, 2015.  Institutional Partner team members should work with their Living Stones Coordinator to consolidate any other requests from that institution.

Hotel Reservation information

We are each responsible for making our own hotel reservations.  To receive the group rate (shown below), your reservations must be made not later than January 8, 2016.

Rates:  Standard Room:  $90 CAD (Canadian dollars) (1 King, 1 Queen, or 2 Twin beds), plus 16.5% applicable taxes.*

Deluxe Room: $110 CAD (larger room w/2 Double beds), plus 16.5% and applicable taxes.*

*Rates based on single/double occupancy per room per night.  Rate includes internet access.

Group rates honored up to 3 days before meeting date and 3 days after for those wishing to extend their stay.

At the time of reservation, the type of room is subject to availability. You will be required to give them your credit card information to reserve the room. You are responsible for making any changes to your reservation and the hotel requires at least 48 hours notice to cancel; otherwise you will be responsible for the total room charges, plus taxes.

The hotel is within 6-8 blocks of restaurants to suit just about any taste.  There are 2 Starbucks coffee houses near the hotel; as well as bakeries and cafes of all kinds.  The hotel also has a restaurant, “Cloud Nine,” located at the top of its 42 floors.

Travel

Each participant is responsible for making his/her own travel arrangements.

You need to plan your itinerary allowing time to get from the airport to the hotel and check-in at the hotel prior to our 1:30 pm meeting start time. Depending upon where you are coming from, this might mean arriving the night before.

The airport is south of Vancouver; the hotel is located in an area of the downtown called the “West End.”  There is no hotel shuttle; a cab ride is between $34-36 CAD, plus tip. All cabs have credit card capability, as well as printing capability.
